Are all roofs suitable for coating?

Glazed tiles and artificial slates containing asbestos are not suitable for coating. Glazed tiles have an extra protective layer on which the coating cannot adhere. Artificial slates containing asbestos may not be cleaned (because of the asbestos) and therefore cannot be coated.
