In what cases is an overhang roof a good choice?

In this case, the asbestos roof must first be decontaminated before the installation of an add-on roof is possible.
- Proper slope: To achieve an overhang roof, the slope should be at least 10 degrees.
- Good condition roof construction: In order to ensure safety, an add-on roof can only be installed if the roof construction is in good condition. Beginning or advanced wood rot in the roof structure makes the realization of an add-on roof immediately impossible. In this case it is important to renew your roof structure. If necessary, you can then opt for an add-on roof.
- Flat and solid roofing: In order to be able to install the over-roof, it is important that a stable lattice work of tile and tenon battens can be mounted. It is therefore important that the existing roofing is solid and flat.

Have tiles and overhang roof installed.
Do you have a pitched roof with tiles? In this case, the installation of an additional roof is not directly possible. It is not possible for a roofer to make a stable and safe wooden construction on the tiles, which makes it impossible to install an additional roof.
