Which personal data do we process?
- Contact and requests: your name, email address, telephone number, address, postcode, town or city, and the information you provide about your roof or the work required. The data needed depends on the form you use.
- When you commission work: information needed to arrange appointments, carry out the work, issue invoices and handle questions or complaints.
- Technical data: form submissions may also record the time, the page from which the request was sent, your IP address and browser information. Technical data may be processed during website visits to operate and secure the website.
We receive this information from you or through your use of the website. Do not include medical information, identity documents or other sensitive information that is unnecessary for your request. If essential contact or address details are missing, we may be unable to handle your request.
Why may we use your data?
- Preparing a quote and carrying out work: we use your data to call you back, assess your request, prepare a quote and arrange roofing work. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract and performing that contract.
- Questions, complaints and website security: where processing is not covered by a contract, we rely on our legitimate interest in helping customers, preventing misuse and protecting our services. Your privacy interests must also be taken into account.
- Legal obligations: we retain information needed for our tax records as required by law.
- Consent: where consent is required, such as for certain analytics or tracking cookies, consent is the legal basis. You can withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.
How long do we keep your data?
How long we retain your data depends on the purpose of the processing:
- Questions, callback requests and quotes: for as long as necessary to handle your request and any follow-up questions, arrangements or disputes. Relevant factors include the status of your request, our most recent contact and any legal obligations.
- Commissioned work: for as long as the data is needed to carry out the work, provide warranty support, handle complaints or establish or defend legal claims.
- Tax records: the legally required period, generally seven years for basic records and ten years for certain records relating to immovable property.
- Technical data and cookies: depending on their purpose and the settings of the service used. See the cookie information below.
Not all information in a request is subject to tax record retention requirements. You can ask us which retention period or criteria apply to your situation.
Automated decision-making
Our website forms record and forward your request. The form does not automatically decide whether you receive a quote or which roofing work will be carried out. Using WordPress, Elementor or Google Analytics does not in itself constitute decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects.
Data security
Our website uses HTTPS. This encrypts data while it travels between your browser and the website. Appropriate management of access rights, updates and backups is also important for protecting stored data.
No security measure can eliminate every risk. If you suspect misuse or a security problem, report it to info@dakdekkers247.nl. Do not include passwords or copies of identity documents.
Who do we share data with?
Quote and contact requests are processed using WordPress and Elementor. Submissions may be stored in the website administration system and forwarded to Dakdekkers 24/7 by email.
Hosting, email and website maintenance providers may process data to the extent necessary for their work. Data may also be shared where necessary for your project or where required by law. Service providers acting as processors on our behalf are subject to the GDPR requirements for processor agreements.
Google and Trustindex services are also used for visitor statistics and external content. Technical visitor data may therefore be processed outside the European Economic Area (EEA). See the explanation under “Cookies and external services” and these providers’ privacy information. Transfers outside the EEA require the safeguards provided for by the GDPR.
Your rights
Depending on the processing, you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict its use and receive or transfer your data. You may object to processing based on a legitimate interest and withdraw consent you previously gave.
Send your request to info@dakdekkers247.nl and explain which request or data it concerns. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity carefully. Do not send a copy of your identity document unless requested.
In principle, you will receive a response within one month. For a complex request, this period may be extended by up to two months; we will inform you within the first month. A legal retention requirement may prevent us from deleting certain data immediately.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Cookies and external services
